The job
As an Account Manager you are responsible for achieving the sales targets per client (current and potential) as well as the client stock sales, within the Southern region of the UK. The Account manager has an important role in the success of O’Neill UK.

As an Account Manager South UK you:

  • achieve Seasonal sales targets set for designated Accounts;
  • provide accurate weekly reporting of account sell-ins against sales targets and to proactively identify additional sales opportunities;
  • manage all designated Accounts on a day-to-day basis; this involves providing a full and professional sales, marketing, visual merchandising and administration service to key contacts with regular communication via store visits, phone and email;
  • Present O’Neill seasonal ranges to all designated Accounts and in time to receive customer orders in line with “Go to Market” calendar;
  • have excellent knowledge of O’Neill product to effectively sell and impart information to designated Accounts;
  • will regularly execute store visits to Accounts to gain insight, knowledge and enhance the performance of O’Neill products at shop floor level
  • work closely with Customer Services Dept to ensure orders are delivered in full and on time to all Accounts;
  • will poactively develop trade marketing plans and training activity for designated Accounts to support brand and sales targets;
  • ensure that O’Neill distribution policies are adhered to at all times and that the required minimum standards are constantly monitored and addressed where necessary when reviewing new business opportunities;
  • conduct strong creative business negotiations with Accounts striving for mutual benefit and developing optimal ways of working;

Who are you?

  • 3-5 years in a sales related job.
  • Experience with account management;
  • Excellent numerical skills with the ability to understand, interpret and utilise sales figures;
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal;
  • Strong negotiation skills;
  • Experience in stock/order processing management;
  • Attention to detail and good organisational skills;
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word;
  • Driver’s license;
  • Live ideally in in the Southern region of the UK.

To make a success of this role, you have a good understanding of retail, aptitude for product categories in which O’Neill operates. You also have the ability to work well in team as well as having the confidence and self-motivation to work individually and finally you are willing and able to travel.
