District Manager Full priced stores
We’re looking for a District Manager that lives and breathes the surf and snow lifestyle ready for the challenge of working with the world’s first surf company.

The Role
You will be responsible for the daily operational business and management for the full priced stores in Europe (Netherlands, Belgium, Germany).

Your responsibilities

  • Being the liaison between the stores and the Retail Manager Europe
  • Train, teach and motivate store management and their team to accelerate in: store performance (sales top-line and budget), in-store operation and excellent customer service.
  • Frequently visiting the stores
  • Monitor store targets based on store budgets, turn over, hours (staff costs), store costs in accordance to KPI’s (conversion, units per transaction, sales per transaction) when needed act accordingly or advise stakeholders
  • Monitor and ensure a correct execution of the visual merchandise standards ( window and in store) or make changes in cooperation with the VM department which will lead to higher sales
  • Explore local marketing activities together with the local store manager to optimize store KPI’s and prepare a proposal for the Retail Manager Europe
  • Staff management : recruit and hire the right staff (STM/ASTM) that lives up to the standards and represent the O’Neill culture and brand, within the given budgets
  • Managing the operational aspects of store openings, renovations and closure
  • Give input for the district business plan to optimize the retail strategy and profitability
  • Give input for a monthly and quarterly update on the status of the district regarding the budget & business plan
  • Monitor health and safety procedures and guidelines and make sure they’re all are up to date
  • Monitor and arrange store maintenance in cooperation with HQ and within the given budgets
  • Signal operational differences between budget, staff planning and retail strategy

Who are you?

  • BA in business or fashion
  • And/or minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail of which at least 2 years in a similar position
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS office, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in store management is a must
  • Driver license
